BIOGRAPHY

Vadim Petrov (vadimmus) is a Russian composer, arranger and jazz musician.
He was born in Kazan on December 20, 1971.
From 1979 to 1987 he studied at the Central Special Music School at the Kazan State Conservatory in violin class at Kaplunovsky PP.
In 1991 he graduated from the Kazan Musical College named after Aukhadiev in violin class under MN Zaripov.
From 1995 to 2001 - studying at the Kazan State Conservatory named after Zhiganov on the composition class of Professor A. Luppov.
The creative work of composers Bach, Haydn, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Prokofiev, Stravinsky, Shostakovich and Webern, as well as masters of the Baroque and Renaissance period, had a significant influence on the formation of the young composer.
Since 1990 - the beginning of active creative activity in the field of jazz music.
The most profound influences on Vadim Petrov's work in the 90s of the last century were the outstanding masters of world jazz: Miles Davis, Bill Evans, Joe Zawinul, Herbie Hancock, John Scofield, Wayne Shorter, Jaco Pastorius, Marcus Miller, Bill Laswell.
With the coming of the new millennium, Vadim Petrov actively explores all sorts of jazz combinations with other types of music - classics, folklore, the latest trends in popular and dance music (hip-hop, drum-n-bass, reggae, RnB, Lounge, Ambient etc).
From 2003 to 2007, Vadim lives and works actively in St. Petersburg, where, in addition to intensive activities as a jazz pianist (the "Music Box" group), he understands the basics of sound engineering and of course he writes a lot of his own music (albums - "Pro Animation" (2005) ), "Credo" (2007) and about 200 instrumental compositions).
On his return to Kazan, Vadim devotes some time to teaching at the Children's Music School No. 7, as a violinist and composer.
In 2009 he takes a direct part in the creation of the first rock school in Russia - "The Road".
From 2010 to 2013 he works in the Jazz Group "JoooF".
From 2015 to 2016 Vadim conducts training at the Kazan State University of Culture and Art specializing in "Music therapy".
From 2016 - work in a jazz-rock band "Respect".
